She thoroughly deserves it as an athlete. She might currently made USA her home, but she hasn't given up the Zimbabwean passport. America or any other western country would be delighted to give her citizenship like they have given Chinese ping pong players.

Kirsty Coventry is one of the greatest all time women swimmers in the world. She won a gold, a silver and a bronze in Athens. She has won four here including a gold smashing the world record and three bronze medals.

Come on folks and gimme a break from all these shit. The way the BBC has put the news seems like the Pommies just can't take any good news coming out of Zimbabwe. She is an athlete and not a goddamn politician who still feels motivated enough to represent her country when she could have earned millions representing other countries.

A hundred thousand US dollars is nothing in terms of what she gave Zimbabwe at the Olympics. Four medals including a gold and a world record. She should have donated the money to Zimbabwe's needy because they are the ones who need it like schools. She probably earns over a million dollars a year from endorsements.

This is the first Mugabe news I got to see in ages, that is not related to the bloodshed in Zimbabwe.
Or was it a typo?? No, but BBC is a reliable source. Dunno, but the mention of Mugabe without giving reference to the deteriorating situation of Zimbabwe, is an alien thing to news channels.
I’m still unable to digest that BBC reported this.
