This is great news especially with the 3G auction just round the corner. This will now teach the cellular and landline operators a lesson or two. So far they had been exploiting the customers and giving very bad service. It would be interesting to see the price drop in calls now.

Very good news. I hope this will end the tyranny of the phone operators who enjoyed a decade-long windfall. There are already many applications in the market, many of which are free that allows you make and receive calls through your mobile phone without being depended on your carrier. Just log off from the network, connect to wi-fi and make/receive calls!
