Inspired by my idea [read my comment on Om Malik’s post], Sony has launched a mouse that doubles up as a fully functional Skype phone!
The latest gadget christened VN-CX1 looks like a typical mouse; open it and lo! It’s a Skype phone...

Regarding the sony mouse talk;I don’t understand how this gadget the Sony Mouse Talk and the yappernut gadget dubbed the yappermouse,gets all the publicity when it only performs on voip and renages the purpose of traveling light so a pc user who happens to travel does not have to carry too many gagdets. Why have two peripherals to deal with when you only need one? Here is a real invention, in 2004 another company invented the Cellmouse and that one works on all cellphones which alot more people have. With the Cellmouse you do not have to have voip service at an aditional charge as well as you do not have to carry two gadgets. Check it out at www.cellmouse.com.

lol what a bizarre design. i’m not sure i want my mouse turning into a phone. what if i want to talk on the phone and use my computer?
