It was undoubtedly the best Wimbledon final since the match between John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg in 1980. That was one final where the champion prevailed. It was just not to be here this time. Great match.

Nadal is a worthy champion. His attitude in the Queens Club grass coming after the French title on clay was terrific. He is such a tireless player. Thought for a moment he will lose in the final set when Federer came back to level 2-2.

It's Spain all over the sporting turfs! Nadal win the French Open, Spain wins the Euro 2008 and Nadal comes again to win the Wimbledon. I rooted for Nadal all the way. Fantastic match. The US Open would be interesting.

Luck was not on Federer's side yesterday. But then he played poorly and couldn't convert any of the 12 odd breakpoints he got in the first 2 sets. A lot of his shots caught the tape. Yet amazingly he came within two points of the championship. Nadal was like a demolishing machine yesterday.

I am a big Federer fan and it was my worst day as one. It almost seems personal, I mean the loss. I might be feeling worse than Federer right at this moment. It is a sickening feeling. I hope he comes back to win the title next year and wins this year's US Open too. :-(

never seen such a high quality tennis match in my life. it also had everything - the world no 1 and world no 2 playing in classic wimbledon weather that has one or two rain interruptions, high drama, great comeback and the longest match. what more do we want?
