Personally, I don’t think Knut’s action should come under scanner, at least in a hasty manner. First, the people who are creating this ho-hum should be sent for a vacation to some Polar Zone, and should be made to study the behavior of one-year-old polar bear cubs, or adult or whatever. And if they fail to find any one-year-old polar bear killing fish just for fun, then they should go ahead with the case.

However, even if they succeed in establishing that a polar bear (in his natural habitat) never hunts for fun, they should not blame Knut. Instead, the officials who looked after Knut should be punished for their lack of intelligence.
