What a poignant song. I was in tears when I first heard it. So many families had to leave their old parents, ailing relatives to flee during the Pak genocide of Bengalis. Jessore Road witnessed the worst. What a song. Don't forget the Bangladesh War and what happened before.

My ammi is a Bengali and this is pure propaganda. Instablogs shouldn't encourage this to discourage our love for the site.

I can't believe this. Is this true? The woman in veil carrying a pipegun and farmers carrying sten guns to protect herself and her kids from Pakistan army? This is horrific. Did this really happen?
