It's Aussie hegemony all the way as they win the ICC World Cup 2007
Ricky Ponting and his merry men that collective form the world’s most formidable cricket juggernaut once again stamped its authority over the sport by winning the 9th edition of the Cricket World Cup in the most ruthless of fashions making mockery of the ICC ODI rankings that put Australia behind South Africa in the standings. Last night, they beat Sri Lanka in the finals comprehensively by 53 runs beating the much pegged islanders in every department of the game - be it batting, bowling or fielding.

Before the tournament kicked off, Ponting’s team was under some flak for losing the Commonwealth Bank Cup to England and then the series to New Zealand 0-3 despite putting huge scores on the board. That resulted in Australia slipping to second position behind South Africa in the now proved farcical ICC One-day International rankings.

The 2007 World Cup had been arguably the worst of all since it started in 1975. It began with the elimination of much-hyped teams - Pakistan and India in the first round itself being beaten by so-called minnows namely - Ireland and Bangladesh respectively. The design of the tournament was such that major teams would use the first round to get into the groove and strike some form playing (and expectedly beating) the minnows. However, the minnows (a derogatory term literally meaning the small fishes that are used to feed larger fishes or used as bait to catch larger fishes) turned out to be piranhas that ripped and ate up Pakistan and India. This might have been expected in some circles given the much hype that surrounded the two teams, especially India. Millions of dollars of corporate money was pumped in with cricketers from these two countries endorsing a myriad of products ranging from soft drinks to motor lubricants and from consumer durables to biscuits. Therefore to boost sales, artificial hypes were created and everything crashed down to earth with the elimination of the two teams in the first round itself.

However, the worst thing possible happened. The coach of the Pakistan team Bob Woolmer was murdered during the course of the tournament after Pakistan’s exit from the World Cup. It is widely believed that the notorious betting syndicate is behind this murder as with Pakistan’s loss to Ireland must have resulted in losses to the syndicate that is estimated over a billion US dollars.

But that’s not the reason why a tournament should be labeled as a farcical exercise. Ricky Ponting in a pre-Cup interview told the press that ‘despite Australia is the number two team, it is amazingly the favourite to win the tournament’ underscoring the team’s domination of the cricket world.

So, what is wrong with the present world cricket? Why should a team be pre-destined to win every major tournament on the anvil? There is nothing wrong with Australian cricket, for they have got their acts right - the structure.

Talking about the Aussie structure - it can only be compared with the Holland hockey structure and now the Aussie hockey structure. From school level to the international stage, they sing the same old song. The Cricket Academy in Australia is a thoroughly professional entity. Ricky Ponting is a product and so are many members of his merry men who love just to steamroll the opposition. That’s what they had been doing in the past.

India with a billion and some in their rolls can’t even produce an Olympic gold medal where as in the Sydney Olympics one of Aussie archers hit gold, a sport that is mainly associated with oriental countries! This is such a shame for us, isn’t it?

Australia is one of the sporting powerhouses of the world along with the US, Spain and Germany. It is beating every country in a sport that appeals to the local populations of those countries. Pat Cashes, Ian Thorpes and Cathy Freemans notwithstanding, they have a world beating hockey team and a plethora of Olympic champs. Now, the last 3 cricket world cups and a myriad of cricket tournaments have shown that they are the best of the lot ever seen by the world.

If any team from the subcontinent are to compete with them, they have to make sure that the ‘brown race’ can indeed do away with corruption, nepotism and make proper planning.

The bottom-line is that the whole lot of cricket playing nations prayed for a Lankan victory. Alas! Only if god helped the underdogs. Victory belongs to those who not only toil, but plan the execution of the small battles and the larger war meticulously. God is always with the side that believes in perseverance, not with the emotions.

If only we can emulate them, it would prove not only beneficial to the corporate houses, but a hell lot more for the population. Until that happens, we must take a bow, the Australian Cricket Team is the best the world has ever seen.

The great Tendulkar, Ganguly, Kumble, Lara, Fleming, Pollock etc. could never hold a trophy called the World Cup as Nathan Bracken, Simon Tait or before them mediocre players of the Aussie team did.

Many might disagree, but honestly, the Aussie hegemony in world cricket is good. At least, it is teaching the cricketers of lessor god a thing or two in professionalism.

Well written article Jonty... I just love the way you compared the Indian Bigwigs with Australian Mediocres in the line... The great Tendulkar, Ganguly, Kumble and Dravid could never hold a trophy called the World Cup as Nathan Bracken, Simon Tait or before them mediocre players of the Aussie team did.

Australian Cricket team has proved that they are the best who can show the world ’the great combination of fighter attitude (better saying it killing attitude) with the superb use of brain’. It is not the game of better eye-hand combination but now has turned into better attitude-brain combination that Aussies showed as the best.

Anyways, Australia Is The Best and Sri Lanka Is The Best Among The Rest.

One more thing I want to say here that when great guru Greg had joined Indian cricket team as the coach of the team, Indian team was the best among the rest except Aussies. Guru Greg has showed the tips to world ’How to make a winning team into Great losers’.

Guru Greg has surprisingly saved the Australian cricket from India, that could be the biggest hurdle in the way of Australian dream to win World cup, by kicking it out of the race even before Super Eight with the help of his ’Kachara Ideas’.

Unarguably, the WC 2007 will go down as one of the worst tournaments in cricketing history for all the wrong reasons. To begin with, the murder of a coach inside the hotel just day after his team’s defeat. It shows the loopholes in the security system.

Secondly, ICC fixtures and schedules. There were so many dead matches in the Group 8 stage.

Thirdly, there is only less audience in the gallery. It eventually takes away enthusiasm.

This world cup could be dubbed the worst ever probably because Woolmer was murdered or the minnows clinically swept aside the might of the Indians or the Pakistanis ....

However, the worst part of the world cup was the fact that despite the venue being West Indies there was hardly a packed house for any game. Despite some high quality clashes on display the crowds were missing ... This Australian team is certainly the best the world has ever seen.... There domination has been so severe that the once proud Windies have started loosing curiosity in the game .

People in the Windies did not exhibit the vehemence they are usually associated with, clearly reflecting that people in that part of the world have started looking for other sports with cricket not doing the job for them.

It was dubbed the Cricket carnival but the carnival feel was nowhere on display. Altogether, it was a lousy affair !

to blame others for our own mistakes sounds a bit ridiculous…coz cricket is a game of high uncertainties....n if Greg was coaching the team with silly ideas, then (I think) Indian team, as well had equal time (as Australia had) to prove them wrong….n the bitter truth is that, Indian failed to make it……

anyways, the big Cricket-Kumbh is over and we shud try to learn from our previous false moves so as to rout Ausies in next WC

Yashpal, Let me remind you on this sentence to blame others for our own mistakes sounds a bit ridiculous that Guru Greg was not ’OTHER’ but he was an integral part of the Indian Cricket Team and he is the man who should take the responsibility of the defeat of Indian team more than any other person. His ideas, decisions and the implementations of those ’Kachara’ ideas has proved himself the worst coach in the world. But now, he has become the ’OTHER’ for Indian Team and for India as well. :-)

”Excellence of so-called ‘Minnows’ cannot be ignored”

While we lament the drubbing of India and Pakistan at the hands of Bangladesh and Ireland respectively, we collectively (and ironically) fail to identify the brilliance of these teams in beating the cricket veterans ‘on a given day’. Even though, these teams could not repeat their outstanding feat going into Super 8 ‘elite’ stage barring Bangladesh’s comfortable defeat of South Africa (and Ireland’s overpower of Bangladesh), the fact cannot be made light of that these nations made it to World Cup 2007 (through pre-World Cup qualifiers) in ICC’s bid to globalize the game.

Australia is ‘Australia’ because it can beat Bangladesh and Ireland convincingly ‘on a given day’.

”Greg may be an exceptional Australian for ‘coaching job’”

Though I don’t agree with Greg’s processes entirely, especially in the way he handled the very talented Irfan Pathan, as a consequence of which, the all-rounder is not in the list of both ODIs and Test matches in near future. But, this must be swallowed down the throat that Greg Chappel is not an adopting ‘Indian’. Exceptionally, Greg’s Australian blood, his style of functioning, his processes, his conduct, his ego, though noticeable with a persevered ‘not-desired’ blended understanding of Indian culture, doesn’t rule out ‘his’ awkward flat Oz approach. John Wright was not an Indian and he still met with amazing success taking India to the finals of the last World Cup. Clearly, John is more understanding and more accommodating of India and its cultures, than of course Greg.

Hence, the ‘mental or emotional connect’ was certainly missing between Greg and the Indian team and the differences surfaced in the aftermath of the World Cup when news – gossips, rumours and facts floated around endorsing subtly the-lack-of-connect.

Having said that, a Whatmore or a Moody (both Australians) may be dissimilar to Greg and we hope they take Indian cricket (like they did fairly to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) to a different level, if in case either of them is to coach India.

”Brother Ian Chappel puts it arrogantly but it is in comprehensive relevance”

Ian doesn’t smile much like his brother Greg. They talk straight and mean what they say. One would feel Ian’s arrogance when he says it is bad for the game of Cricket that Australia has this ruthless dominance over the rest of the teams. But, he is proudly right.

West Indies dominance for fifteen years and now Australia’s for about ten years is INDEED not good for the game of cricket.

Jonty rightly puts this years world cup as the poorest ever. And yet the sublime cricket Aussies played enriched the tournament. One sided affairs yes, but dull noway.

Please don’t let the side issues and controversies draw attention away from what have been clinical and at times perfect cricketing displays.

We will miss ”Pigeon!”

Unintentionally, the one thing that the Cricket World Cup – 2007 did to Indian sport is, it put brakes on the hype which advertising agencies have weaved into the game.

The lucrative brand endorsing contracts, which the cricket ‘superstars’ enter into, inadvertently leave other sports without good sponsorships.

We hope the terrible performance by the ’men in blue’in this world cup helps promoters to look at supporting other sports in the country.

After all, ’11 fools playing and many million Indians’ watching will not meet the aspirations of a nation which has the youngest population.

We did not land with anything at the concluded Cricket World Cup and we have yet to get a gold medal in any Olympic sporting event other than Hockey.

Don’t grieve over spilt milk, but seize the opportunity of giving new direction to sporting activities in the country.

India was very shamefully defeated by less-experienced Bangladesh cricketers

Wud it b right to blame Greg for that disappointing defeat? Perhaps u think so ‘Pratyush’….right?

it was Indians’ poor play not Greg’s ‘KACHARA IDEAS’ that led Indian see the day….
2 Stars
And Yashpal, Perhaps you want to say that Indian team was playing with the ’on-field strategy’ without any interference by Guru Greg, the coach of the team...Right? One best example of those ’Kachara Ideas’ implemented in the team strategies by Guru Greg was to drop Sachin, the best opening batsman India ever produced, from the opening slot in the world cup despite Sachin’s interest to open the inning. There are so many examples I can say here only if u want :)

And one more thing, performance comes from attitude and better team work and Guru Greg has divided the team in groups. How can we expect better performance when the team had been divided in groups.

Definitely, there was an interference of Greg coz its his job n that’s y he wz there….wat I want to say is, players were supposed to show their nice-play while they were on the pitch….n Greg din’t stop them doing so… :-P ….OK?

The day when India was playing against Bangladesh, India scored just 193(if im not wrong)…..do u know y?

Here is the REAOSN: India won the toss and decided to bat first…that wz Captain’s (silly) decision (don’t call it of Greg’s)

We wud have easily won the match, had we fielded first!

Reason: coz a lot of moisture is present on the pitch in the opening overs that helps bowlers a lot….as the sun goes up, the pitch gets harder and ball comes nicely onto the bat, so easy hit n score big

: Interesting!!! good reason of India’s defeat in that match :)

The Indian team minus Guru Greg was able enough to win the matches. There was no need to care of the moisture on the field.

Pratyush i believe it is not Greg who should take the responsibility for the entire toll more than anyone ... it has to be every man for himself.... agreed he took decisions but the ultimate job of a player is to perform , where was Greg at fault if big guns like Dhoni and Sachin get out without even scoring a run in the crunch game, he obviously didn’t teach them to get out for a knot .

Greg must have decided the batting order but then playing at the same position in a home series against West indies just weeks before the cup, Sachin Scored a scintillating hundred and everyone lauded him and the hubbub was that this new Role will see sachin redeeming himself...

It is the player who delivers not the coach!

... About Sachin scoring runs as an opener; he has lost the speedy footwork which enabled him to play those unbelievable strokes.... middle order is probably where he can survive for some time and end his glittering career on a high note ...He has never been a touch player so the question of getting the flow back as an opener is stupid . Ganguly came back because he has always relied on his touch/timing more than the foot movement unlike Sachin, who generates that amazing power through impeccable body balance, courtesy of his quick feet movement , somewhat like The Australian Punter ...

There was no need to care of the moisture on the field

oooooo...man..i think u hardly know anything abt cricket....dats y u r ignoring the moisture factor which (for ur kind information) plays a vital role in cricket...got it?

if u remember, india lost its 3 wickets in just 15 overs at total of 70 odd.... dat all wz bcoz of moisture on on pitch..the ball wz nokt coming onto the bat coz of lots of swing n hence lost its wickets too early....n one can score big only if it makes a gud use of power play (despite of lossing quick wickets)

Do u know y Bangladesh won the match by 5 wickets...bcoz Indian bowlers were finding it hard to swing the ball n hence wz coming nicely onto the bat with gud enough bounce lessening the complications of Bangladesh batsmen
2 Stars
According to you Yashpal, Moisture is the most important factor in the game of cricket that generally called as the game of uncertainty... (Thanx for giving me this information that I don’t need actually), and what you think on anything is not going to be the universal truth.

Mind you... Who cares of moisture or batting first or second or disrupted by rain or the hard pitch, or the grassy pitch, or the pitch supporting the spinners or the small field or two continuous power plays or divisional power plays or the Umpires bad decisions or how many players arew fielding inside the 20-yard circle or outside the 20-yard circle or who is coming to ball ”WHEN Australians are on the pitch:.

It Does not matter how much the moisture is on the grass to make slow the out field and how much the moisture on the pitch to support the bowlers. What does matter is the better team work and a proper plan in accordance with players and coach and with strategy accepted form the 11 players on the field to counter the 11 players from the opposing team.

So man, let me clear you Guru Greg failed to make better co-ordination among the players and this is the biggest reason why Indian players saw the game from their drawing rooms.

And for Atul, Sachin and Dhoni are human being and extra-talented players but how can you expect better performance from them when their minds were disturbed by the inflow of the money to their pockets from corporate world and the ’Kachara Ideas’ repeatedly coming from the Great Guru Greg. :-)

participation in the game and it’s all 11 players who have to prove their worth on the field….n if u talk abt Ausies……I’ll say they have gud players not gud coach n they perform their best when they r on the field

the moisture doesn’t play a major part when they r in the pitch (that’s what u want to say, Pratyush,… right?) it does play even then

but they win coz if they score low, then they make a perfect equilibrium with bowling some gud spells… n sending openers back to the pavilion, quickly

n u have proved that u really don’t have any knowledge of cricket….with sayin “20-yard circle or outside the 20-yard circle”

do u really know the actual dimensions of cricket field???????

Pratyush i am glad you’ve realized that even Greg is a human being just like Sachin and Dhoni .... The endorsements have got nothing to do with it and if they have then : are Saurav And Yuvraj playing under a different Coach .... What say! Why have they been performing well...

It is not the ‘Kachra Coach’ , if at all u wont to use Kachra use it for the entire team .... The Australians also experiment ... Shane Watson opens , Micheal Clarke and Symonds keep floating up and down the order.... it is the player who should have the knack to adapt for the teams cause ... Not the team adapting for a players cause and with Sachin opening the Batting the latter would have been evident .

But friends don’t fight, the worldcup is over, you should be over too. Why are u creating another worldcup to hit the blogsphere’s headlines.

”Greg kaa ho gaya beda garak,

Indian team lacked in all 3 departments of the game batting, bowling and fielding. It was lacklustre performance of Indian team in all 3 outings of the world cup. One other blogger said as that followings are the damages created by Chappel:

1. Experimentations continuous basis saying “ Vision World Cup-07” and everything gone waste

2. Changing Batting order without any thinking that weakened the players’ confidence

3. Targeting Saurav Ganguly, Sachin, Virender Sehwag, Pathan, Ajit Agarkar, Harbhajan singh unnecessarily

4. Strategy of two wicket-keepers in same side, strange idea

5. Using media to his advantage always, remember the middle finger episode for Ganguly and targeting Sachin on two or more occasion.

6. Stubborn and highhandedness nature

7. Loss of form of younger players such as Pathan Dhoni with respect to high level of experimentation

Guru Greg had come India on a special secret mission I think. He became successful in his mission and gone to his own country.

Would anybody tell me here, why there is a need of coach in the game like cricket when he does not go to field? Why Australian coach is so happy when he did not play a single ball in the world cup episode?

And for Pankaj... Information means Wikipedia gr8 man keep it up :-)

Pratyush no one here wants to prove that you nothing about cricket . just for ur records a pitch measures 22 yards or 66 feet . the WIDTH conventionally has to be 10 feet but the newest form of cricket i.e. 20 -20 goes for the 7+ 2 format unlike the conventional 8+2 .
The inner circle measures 30 yards from the center of the pitch which is for the limited overs single inning game. There are no specific measurements for the total radius of a ground ... they can be as big as the MCG or as small as the one in VIzag.

A one day game has two circles demarcated each at a gap of 15 yards however such demarcations are not evident in the longer version of the game .

n ur answer lies in ur own cmnt...ausies’ coach is happy coz Australian players are performing prominently

Grow up man... I just asked this question for u only coz u people are repeatedly saying that coach has no role in the game and its the players who play on the field... Just have a re-look on the comment no.17 given by you in the comment list.

You said participation in the game and it’s all 11 players who have to prove their worth on the field….n if u talk abt Ausies……I’ll say they have gud players not gud coach n they perform their best when they r on the field

so I asked is there any need of coach in the game of cricket if we go through self-generated philosophy of the game. You are saying that Aussies have good players not the good coach...

so, I asked in comment no.26 as Would anybody tell me here, why there is a need of coach in the game like cricket when he does not go to field? Why Australian coach is so happy when he did not play a single ball in the world cup episode?

Why Indian board is asking to Buchanan to join Indian team as coach to revive Indian team despite India has so many good cricketers.

I just want to say u again ’grow up boy’... the bigger world is waiting for u outside the box. :-)

Pratyush we never said a coach has no role in the game ... we rather said that u dubbing that Greg was not a good coach is a big misconception ... he was the same man under whom the indian team made a world record of maximum number of victories while chasing and that started just a month after he joined the indian team and the reason for that was the team responding to his experiments .... if a coach does nothing then why did Srilanka win the cup in 1996 when noone even thought they had a chance to make it through to the second round .. it was Whatmore who gave them the mantra of smashing the ball to all corners of he park within in the first fifteen overs which was the reason they defeated most teams who competed against them ... the coach demanded and the team delivered but in Indians case the coach demanded and the team failed .

Buchanan is being asked for help because of his record! any team would want him because the team he coached won the world cup thrice ... who would deny his services ....

when you have nowhere to run the only option that remains is to incorporate drastic changes .. India is a cricket crazy nation and the board has to answer millions of people and they best way to keep them mum would be to hire the best .... Again he will experiment but the success will depend on the how the team responds to his call.

Guru Greg has showed the tips to world ’How to make a winning team into Great losers’. this is what you initially mentioned ... indeed when he joined indian team , we were the worst chasers in the world then how did we become record holders for maximum number of wins while chasing . Had he not chucked out Ganguly , we would have never seen him play like the way he does now, just like the Ganguly of Previous times .

He made Iran Pathan Bat higher up the order and it clicked but he unfortunately lost his bowling form ... everyone dubbed this as Gregs mistake but it was Pathans own folly for he could not digest the additional responsibility and the same experiment on Shane Watson has made him a star in the Aussie team , why beacuse he grabbed the chance with both hands unlike India where people picked up Greg as the Culprit ...

There are people like AB Develliers , who can bat , bowl and field and they enjoy any given role in the team … they never come out with excuses that the coach made me bowl so I lost my batting form or vice-versa …If you are playing for the national team of a country like India , you should realize the reponsibilty which comes with it only then can you deliver .

It is you who need to grow up and realize that corruption which is a delicacy of our politicians is equally evident in cricket which is the cause for this state of the team … if this system continues to prevail , then we can hire Buchanan for three cups and I bet after twelve years the whole of this nation will call him the worst coach the world has ever seen !!!

Finally, This is a NEWS for ATUL...Indian media has revealed the fact about the Indian players, the condition of Indian dressing room and the Guru Greg’s ’Kachra Ideas’ and ’Activities’ what I had observed earlier in my previous comments. The report given below may be proved as an ’eye-opener’ for all Guru Greg lovers ... Just have a look

”Indian cricket appeared to be heading for another controversy with a TV channel broadcasting what it claimed were revelations by the national selectors of infighting, ego-driven politics and factionalism in the dressing room.

The ”revelations” were part of a sting operation carried out by Headlines Today and its Hindi sister channel, Aaj Tak, which spoke to four national selectors - Ranjib Biswal, Bhupinder Singh, Sr, Venkatapathy Raju and Sanjay Jagdale, the last-named also the team manager at the World Cup.

There were two broad themes to the revelations in the sting: factionalism within the team, and Greg Chappell’s performance as coach.

”Greg wanted to show everybody he is the boss. He was not happy with anybody,” Bhupinder Singh sr, the North Zone selector, was quoted as saying. ”There were instances when Chappell was not talking to senior players for 4-5 days. He was not on talking terms with Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh. It happened in South Africa (where India toured in December-January).”

He also said that Chappell adopted a ”divide and rule policy” and was the additional ego in a team full of egos.

”Greg could not understand Indian cricketers’ psyche. He was more like a schoolmaster than a friend,” Ranjib Biswal, the East Zone selector, said.

The sting also raised alleged problems that Dravid had with Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly. They were not supporting Dravid, says Bhupinder; some players were backing Tendulkar, some Ganguly. ”They are sensing (sic) that if he fails then we have a chance to become captain.”

”I won’t call it factionalism but there were some personal problems,” said Sanjay Jagdale, who was also quoted as saying that Sreesanth and Zaheer Khan had fought in the dressing room.

Now, how can anybody expect from players to go and perform even against Bermuda (forget Bangladesh, they have player like Ashraful) when the condition of team and dressing room is like this. Guru Greg has just destroyed the Team India and went to his country after his mission successful.

Pratyush just for your records I am not a guru Greg lover, but an Indian cricket fanatic!

There wasn’t a word from you on this controversy apart from that long pending query of yours, ‘Why do we need a Coach’. It was just yesterday evening you came across this news and then thought about jumping into another scuffle of words, definitely not purpose oriented for if it was, you would have answered my previous comment!

Where was your proactiveness, when the new Payment contract was formulated?

You never answered me on how the same person managed to give India a tag of the world record holders for maximum number of chases. The same divide and rule policy was evident even at that time, but it worked so critique took a back seat.

There are two ways to interpret yesterdays news ... one is the way, you jumped to a conclusion and the second probably if you followed NDTV today morning is the fact that ‘it is the Boards latest strategy to take the blame away from them’ . ‘If it all it is not the Boards plan to revive their personal image , then why didn’t they reveal these facts before the new payment contracts were formulated’ now don’t tell me that all the four names you’ve mentioned were unaware of this fact just a week ago.

The players weren’t happy with the new contract and they demanded explanations regarding the contract. There were heavy regulations on the advertisement projects of the players, which was precisely an attempt to hush the media, and the public that thought it was unchecked money being pocketed by the cricketers, which hampered their performance. Thus, the contract was a mere tool to revive BCCIs image.

BCCI thought the players would meekly accept the contract given the present state of cricket in the country but the players rebuked and the only option left was to fall back on ‘Greg the Nemesis’ and the age old strategy of this board to make public the deep holes of the team .

Grow up Pratyush, for it is not the first time that the Board has exposed the rift between senior players. Remember the Titan Cup and the Azhar , Sachin Controversy , was Greg the man –in-charge that time around .

Lastly, let’s even agree to the fact that there was a rift, then could you tell me the boards role in nullifying it. I personally believe, every board member was busy pressing his own corner, for we saw four vice-captains from December 2006 until the world cup! Now this means the Boards role is only to expose the rifts and not nullify them. Why didn’t they make sure that all differences were taken care off before even announcing the team for the Cup?

Honestly , appreciate your concern to keep your verdict but don’t just jump onto it when you just know one side of the coin ! had you mentioned the contract incident and not other citations to keep your verdict , I would have given up but know you yourself leave a lot to answer !

Hey people, I am back here with my months old concept again. Just see the impact of the absence of ’Guru Kachra Greg and his Kachara Ideas’, The Indian Cricket team has been back on track. A test series win against England in England is a great relief for Indian players. Sachin’s two man of the series awards would have given a certain relief to Indian team and himself too.Thank God Guru Greg was not there to implemented underrated ideas for Indian players such as batting practice for Irfan Pathan, and bolling practice for Yuvraj Singh.
