India finished the ODI series against Sri Lanka in fine style by beating the Islanders six matches to one. In the seventh and last One-dayer played at Vadodara, India annihilated Sri Lanka by five wickets with more than 10 overs to spare.
Needing 245 to win, India achieved the target aggressively with MS Dhoni blowing off the Lankan bowlers to smithereens with a hard-hitting 80 off just 73 balls that included 3 towering sixes.
Local hero Irfan Pathan - who returned figures of 3-38 and contributed a quickfire 35 off 23 balls - has been adjudged the Man of the Match.
India, high on this convincing win now plays South Africa later this month in a 5-match One-day series.
With India roaring with full form and force, Springboks beware!
