Center and Bihar Govt has started blaming to each other. But either of them ever thought about permanent solution for Kosi River problem? Answer is No. They will again wait for next year flood and distribute some money. Lalu is seen distributing Rs. 500 note and it’s very common footage on the TV channels. Shame! It’s shocking to learn that we in Bihar after 61 years of Independence do not have a Disaster Management System in place. Center govt can not escape way just by distributing relief package to bihar. This is time to wake and think about Solution and most importantly act on it. It might take 2-3 years to make Dam over Kosi but it would be fruitful once it is made. Is anyone listening?

तीन दिन पहले टीवी देख रहा था। स्टार न्यूज में एंकर दीपक चौरसिया लालू यादव का इंटरव्यू ले रहे थे। लालू ने कोसी बैरेज टूटने का आरोप सीधा-सीधा बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री नीतिश कुमार पर लगा दिया और इसके -क्रिमीनल नेगलिजेंस- करार दिया, लेकिन बड़े पत्रकार चौरसिया ने एक बार भी नहीं पूछआ कि कि नीतिश कुमार तो तीन साल से हैं, 15 साल बिहार में राज करने के दौरान लालू जी ने क्या किया। ये साले टीवी स्टूडियो में बैठे पत्रकार नेताओं के दलाल हैं।

This is the tragedy with Indian media - MSM or online. Only a few bloggers are taking up the matter and doing some serious reporting.

The Indian media is only interested in glamour and sensational news. Why would Bihar be in the news?

I would like to go one step further on this. Not just the electronic media, but print media and other media have become pimps of politicians and business houses. They run where there is money even if that means reporting news like the disaster.

If such a thing happened in the West, you would have seen how the media would have behaved. During Hurricane Katrina, TV, print, online media whipped the government and forced it to take action. Bloggers, played an active part. Sadly, Indians who think to emulate the West have a long way to go before they can put themselves in the same pedestal.

A people movement or people’s participation may change the system of governance. People by now may have realised that government may leave them to their fate at the time of distress. So they must create self help groups, NGOs and the likes in villages, talukas and districts themselves and rebuild Bihar from the scratch. They are capable to di it and they must do it.

Alternately, they may blame all and no one comes to their rescue. Those dispensing 500 rupee notes may buy or sell the remaining ”izzat” (honour) of Bihar.

I agree, only people’s movement can tame these irresponsible and corrupt politicians!

first an inquiry commission should be set up against the DMs and IAS officers who are responsible for this situation. It would not be wrong, if govt. dismiss them. This will send clear signal to those corrupt officers who are thriving on sorrow of poor people. These civil servants are parasites who just wait for such tragedies to happen so that they could siphon money out of relief funds. BUT They SHOULD KNOW, GOD IS SEEING THEIR DEEDS.



Where are the BJP and Bajrang Dal and RSS now?? They claim to be well wishers of Hinus, poors.. These groups are only to raise slogans, and giving long speeches.
